WAHONNECT Language Exchange is a casual Japanese × English meetup where you can practice a language, meet new people, and connect with both Japanese and international communities. Whether you're learning Japanese, living or traveling in Japan, or simply looking for a fun way to meet new people, everyone is welcome! ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Schedule 6:30 PM Doors open 6:40 – 7:00 PM Japanese Time 7:00 – 7:20 PM English Time 7:20 – 7:40 PM Japanese Time 7:40 – 8:00 PM English Time During English Time, Japanese participants practice English. If you're confident in English, please be a "supporter": speak slowly and use simple words. During Japanese Time, roles switch. It's your turn to practice Japanese, and Japanese participants will support you. Mistakes are welcome in both halves. Translation apps, gestures, and mixing languages are all OK. Think of the other person's language time as your time to help them. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ About the organizer After working full-time in Japan, I spent a year in Vancouver on a Co-op study program and came back to Japan in September 2026. I know what it feels like to be the newcomer in a new country. All levels are welcome, and you can join even if you're a beginner! We'll prepare conversation topics and small groups, so you'll always have a chance to talk. You can come alone or with friends.
